We are pleased to announce that Michael D. Vinick, president of Duct &Vent Cleaning of America, Inc. has been named Board President of NADCA, The HVAC Inspection, Maintenance, and Restoration Association. Mr. Vinick was named Board President during NADCA’s 2015 Annual Meeting & Exposition that took place during the last week of April in Marco Island, Florida. This year’s meeting, which was the 26th annual meeting, had 510 attendees who came from all over the world including Italy, Australia, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Puerto Rico, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Holland, and India.
NADCA’s mission, since it was established in 1989, is to promote source removal as the only acceptable method of cleaning, and to establish industry standards. The organization also trains and administers exams in HVAC cleaning, including practical knowledge and field experience, safe work practices, industry codes and standards, and principles of HVAC operation. NADCA currently has approximately 1,200 members and an operating budget of almost $2 million.
Mr. Vinick has been an active member of NADCA since his company first joined the organization in 1990. Early on, he served as the northeast regional coordinator, and in the last seven years has served as the membership chair. He has served for two terms as Board Treasurer, where he helped to increase member services and cut management expenses by 20%. NADCA’s member retention rate for this past year was an astonishing 96%. He has also served for one year as 2nd Vice President, and just finished serving this past year as 1st Vice President.
The Duct & Vent Cleaning of America, Inc. corporate office is located in Springfield, Massachusetts, and has branch locations in Pawtucket, Rhode Island; Norwalk, Connecticut; and Laurel, Maryland. The company is a national leader in the air duct cleaning business, and has a client list that includes government agencies, municipalities, state governments, Fortune 500 companies, small business, health care facilities, universities, colleges, and homeowners. Duct & Vent Cleaning of America, Inc. primarily services customers from the Mid-Atlantic North through Maine and has managed projects nationally.
